Recording Road Construction Progress
Road progress is a linear asset, so the record should be linear too: chainage-referenced, not a set of disconnected images.
Overview
- Reference every capture to chainage so progress can be read as a distance-based chart.
- Long linear corridors suit fixed-wing or VTOL; the altitude should be constant so the strip is uniform.
- Layer thickness and paving progress are the two items that change daily; date-stamp them explicitly.
- Record the direction of travel — a corridor flown the other way is not directly comparable.
