Privacy Policy
How Montline handles information from project enquiries, site visits and correspondence — what we collect, why, how long we keep it, and your rights.
Scope of this policy
This policy explains how Montline (Shuntu (Beijing) Management Consulting Co., Ltd.) handles personal information when operating www.Montline.net and responding to project enquiries. It is written to meet the transparency requirements of the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the California Consumer Privacy Act as amended (CCPA/CPRA), among others.
It does not cover third-party sites. External links in our footer and social profiles are operated by others, and their handling of data is governed by their own notices.
What we collect
- Enquiry content: what you submit through the contact page or by email — mission objective, coverage, payload and environmental requirements, quantity and timing, plus name, organisation, role, email and phone.
- Correspondence: emails, meeting notes and confirmation documents.
- Technical access data: IP address, user agent, timestamp and referrer held in server request logs, used to diagnose faults, prevent abuse and keep the service secure. Site statistics are measured separately and include no IP address or user agent — see Cookies and analytics below.
- Attachments and data samples: files you send for engineering assessment, used only within the scope you agree to.
What we do not do
- We do not sell or rent personal information.
- We do not pre-check marketing consent. Project enquiries are handled separately from marketing subscriptions.
- We do not use enquiry content to train or improve any model unless separately agreed in writing.
- We do not disclose enquiry content to third parties except where law requires or you authorise it.

Cookies and analytics
Visit statistics are in use, configured so that they do not depend on cross-site identifiers:
- First-party statistics on our own server: usage events — page views, on-site search, internal clicks, scroll depth, time on page, and the outcome of enquiry form submissions — are sent by the browser using
sendBeaconto this site's own endpoint,/api/analytics, and stored on servers operated by Montline. This measurement writes no cookies, collects no IP address and no browser user agent, uses no cross-site advertising identifier, and is not used for advertising targeting. The value that distinguishes one visit from another is kept in the browser'ssessionStorageand expires when the tab is closed. When a browser sends a Do Not Track signal, the measurement script does not run. - Tag manager: this site loads a Google Tag Manager container (GTM-TLJJH85T). It runs in an essential-only mode: no analytics or advertising cookies are written, and no tag configured inside the container fires, before you give consent. No consent banner is currently displayed, so that denied default stays in effect. Loading the container itself involves a request to Google's servers, and that step is governed by Google's own terms.
- No advertising tracking: we run no advertising trackers and no cross-site advertising identifiers.
- Your control: the substantive content of this site is reachable without cookies. You can clear or block cookies in your browser at any time.
- If this changes: if third-party analytics or advertising tags are enabled inside the tag manager, we will update this policy first and, where required, obtain your consent before they run.
Retention
- Enquiries that do not become projects: 24 months from the last exchange, then deleted or anonymised.
- Contract, acceptance and support records for delivered projects: retained for the bookkeeping period required by PRC accounting and tax rules, generally 10 years after the contract ends.
- Data samples used for engineering assessment: deleted within 12 months of project close, or earlier on request.
- Security logs: 90 days.
Cross-border transfer and sharing
Data is processed mainly in mainland China. Where hardware delivery, customs clearance or field support requires it, the necessary information may be shared with partners performing delivery, clearance or transport. Those partners may process it only for that purpose and are bound by contractual confidentiality. Where information is transferred outside mainland China, we apply standard contractual clauses or an equivalent safeguard as required by applicable law.
Your rights
Subject to applicable law, you may:
- Access the information we hold about you and request a copy;
- Correct inaccurate or incomplete information;
- Request deletion, except where a retention obligation applies;
- Restrict or object to specific processing;
- Withdraw consent previously given;
- Lodge a complaint about our handling of data.
California residents may additionally request disclosure of the categories of information collected, the sources, the business purposes and the categories of recipients, and may exercise the right to opt out of sale or sharing — we do not sell personal information.
Send requests to the address below. We reply within 30 days and may ask for enough information to verify your identity. Exercising these rights will not result in different treatment.
Security
Enquiry and correspondence channels use transport encryption. Internal access is assigned by role and limited to those who need it. Attachments and data samples are stored in isolation. We will never ask for passwords or payment credentials by email.
