Delivery Training and Operating Documentation
Training and documentation are part of the product. A capable system with unusable documentation is an unusable system.
Overview
- Write documentation in the operator's working language, and have it reviewed by someone who did not write it.
- Separate the quick reference from the reference manual; they are used at different times for different purposes.
- Include the abnormal cases: what to do when something does not work, which is the part that matters most.
- Train the trainer, so the customer can absorb staff turnover without calling you.
