Confirming Scope and Deliverables
Scope confirmation is a written list of what is included, what is not, and what triggers a change — signed before work starts.
Overview
- List deliverables as tangible items with a format and a recipient.
- List exclusions explicitly; an unstated exclusion will be assumed to be included.
- Define the change mechanism, including how a change affects schedule and price.
- Attach the acceptance criteria to the deliverable list, not to a separate document.
