Comparing After-sales and Training Programs
Support and training are where two similar quotations differ most, and where the difference is hardest to compare.
Overview
- Compare commitments, not intentions: response time, escalation route, and what triggers a site visit.
- Ask what happens on a second failure of the same item — the answer reveals the spares policy.
- Check whether training is delivered by the engineers who built the system or by a general training function.
- Confirm the language and format of documentation, and whether updates are provided.
