Enterprise Drone Procurement Checklist
Seven categories to verify before you issue an RFQ. Skipping any one of them moves the cost from the purchase order to the project.
Overview
- Platform: airframe, payload, endurance and range — each with the condition it was measured under.
- Payload: optics or sensor, mount, power and the interface documentation.
- Ground segment: controller, display, datalink, and who operates it.
- Spares: which items are consumable, which are lead-time critical, and what the recommended holdings are.
- Training: who is trained, to what level, in what language, and how refresher training is delivered.
- Support: response route, response time commitment, and the end-of-support policy.
- Compliance: export classification, certification status, and the operating approvals that remain the operator's responsibility.
Anything marked "pending" in a supplier's documentation should be resolved in writing before contract. Montline issues specifications only where they can be evidenced.
