Integration and Commissioning Process
Commissioning is a sequence with defined entry and exit conditions at each step, not a single event called "testing".
Overview
- Step order: mechanical integration, power-up checks, interface communication, functional test, then flight test preparation.
- Each step has an exit condition; the next step does not start while it is unmet.
- Every measurement is recorded against the unit's serial number on the day it was taken.
- Any rework sends the unit back to the last step whose exit condition is no longer satisfied.
