Imagery Patrol of Discharge Points
Discharge point patrol is a documentation task. Its value is a dated, repeatable, location-referenced record of what a permitted outfall looked like.
Overview
- Fix camera position and angle per outfall so that successive records are directly comparable.
- Capture the outfall, the receiving water immediately downstream, and the surrounding bank in one set.
- Thermal imagery can add a signal where discharge temperature differs from the receiving water.
- Record the time of day relative to any permitted discharge schedule.
