Common Interface Issues in Integration Projects
Integration problems cluster in the same few places on almost every project. They are predictable, which means they are preventable.
Overview
- Power: peak current and inrush, not nominal draw, are what damage hardware and trip protection.
- Timing: two systems that are each correct can still disagree about when an event occurred.
- Units and coordinate frames: a silent mismatch here produces plausible-looking wrong results.
- Version drift: one side gets updated during the project and the other does not.
