Test and Verification Methods
Verification is done in three environments in sequence, and a pass in one does not imply a pass in the next.
Overview
- Bench: interfaces against the specification, including the injected failure cases.
- Platform: interfaces with the actual power and communication environment of the aircraft.
- Environment: the real site, the real weather, the real operators, recorded against a written test card.
- Results are recorded with the configuration and the serial number, so that a pass can be reproduced.
- Acceptance criteria are agreed before development, and stated with the conditions they were tested under.
