Drone and Enterprise Software Integration News
Integration is decided by where the output lands, not by how well the model performs. A result nobody sees inside the system they already work in is a result that gets ignored.
Overview
- Name the destination system first: ERP, CRM, GIS, asset management or EAM/CMMS, IoT, weather, or the mapping tool. Each one changes the interface, the authentication model and the failure behaviour.
- Agree what happens when the link is down. Buffered upload, manual re-run, or a degraded mode — this is the question that decides whether the deployment survives its first outage.
- Write the security boundary down: encryption at rest and in transit, role-based access, audit trails, and any automated blurring needed where imagery carries personal data.
- Keep the raw data and the derived result separate in the contract. The derived result is what the business system consumes; the raw data is what you will need when a finding is challenged.
No vendor claim is reproduced here. The checklist is the one Montline uses at scope stage, where the target system, authentication and failure behaviour are fixed before integration work starts.
