Screening Visual Anomalies on Transmission Assets
On transmission assets the visibility problem is scale: a missing split pin is a few pixels wide from a safe standoff distance. Detection here is about consistent framing and reliable change comparison.
Overview
- Standardise standoff, angle and optics per structure type, or successive surveys cannot be compared.
- The useful comparison is usually current versus previous imagery of the same structure, not current versus a general model.
- Hardware categories (fittings, dampers, spacers) are separated in the output because they need different follow-up.
- Results are returned against the operator's own structure numbering, not our internal identifiers.
