Linking Asset Registers to Imagery
Most inspection data fails at the last step: the imagery exists, the asset register exists, and nobody can join them afterwards.
Overview
- Join on a key that exists before the flight — structure number, chainage, or a mapped grid reference.
- Where GPS alone is not precise enough to identify an asset, capture a marker or a readable asset label in frame.
- Return results in the register's own identifier and column layout so they can be loaded without manual editing.
- Decide who owns the reconciliation: it is a data task with an owner, not an automatic outcome of flying.
